If Insurance was never improved(?)

Certain ads running with very high frequency on both radio and television are trying to paint a picture of brokers and their companies as 'never changing'; the leaky derigible chugging through the air taking a month to get to it's destination. While I always object to negative campaigns, whether in politics or in commerce, this one in particular is a real zinger. Without justification or proof, they want to convince you that brokers and possibly other types of competitors have done NOTHING to keep up with the times. In the 16 years that I have now been in the business, we have migrated from mainframes and 3 part paper memos to pc networks, e-mail, business to business electronic commerce and real time transaction processing, all of which required significant investments of time and money on our part and on the part of our Insurance Companies. We transmitted our first new policy electronically in August of 1994. We have had our current website up since 2003 and online rating has been available on our website for over a year. Our Association also provides online quoting and broker locating services through www.myinsuranceshopper.ca. We are constantly upgrading both our professional skills through mandatory continuing education and our computer skills through regular training on new systems and better ways to transact business, for the benefit of our customers.

I sincerely hope that people see through this destructive and misleading type of advertising.
